Our body is the miraculous creation of God. Its complexity and the functions of every organ is incredible. The heart pumps the blood , the kidney purifies water in our body without even stopping for a second. From the food we eat , the air we breathe, all the processes are amazing. Our mind can't even understand how this mechanism works. We are really blessed and thankful to God for this wonderful body.

#1 Uneven lungs.

Our lungs are not even. The lung on the left side of our body is separated into 2 lobes whereas the right side lung is parted into 3 lobes. Hence left lung is smaller and gives space for the heart.

#2 Babies have more bones than us.

Babies are born with 300 bones, more than the number of bones we have. Later when they grow some of the bones fuse together and it become 206 by their adulthood.

#3 Enough length to travel the world.

Our blood vessels are 60,000 - 100,000 miles long. That is , if they were laid end to end, it is long enough to travel the whole world more than 3 times!

#4 Types of blood groups.

We all know only four types of blood groups namely "A", "O", "B", "AB". But there are nearly thirty recognised blood groups around the world. Based on different factors it has been classified.

#5 Goosebumps.

When we get terrified or when we get surprised, we will get goosebumps. We can experience this in the peak of our emotions. Have you ever thought how it Originated in us. Here is the answer. Goosebumps evolved in our ancestors to threaten predators which attack them, by making their hairs stand straight.

#6 Hiccups.

From where the hiccups occur? Its all because of diaphragm. Twitching of diaphragm which is a thin membrane under the lungs. It makes us to engulf a significant amount if air which in turn causes hiccups.

#7 Running nose.

We catch cold not because of a single virus. It is caused by hundred strains of viruses. Running nose is the way to flush out germs from our nose. On an average, our nose produces about a cupful of nasal mucus everyday.

#8 knuckles.

Why do we get a sound when we crack our knuckles. It is because of the gas bubbles in our joints. When we crack our knuckles, the gas bubbles burst and gives us the relaxing sound.

#9 Bacteria too are responsible for our mood swings.

We have large number of bacteria in our gut. When we born our gut is sterile, eventually it develops a colony of bacteria by genetics or by the region we live. It produces 95% of our body's serotonin. Serotonin is a hormone which regulates anxiety, reduces depression and stabilizes our mood.

#10 Our intestines grow after our death.

An average small intestine is about 2.5 meters. After we die, muscles in the intestine walls relax thereby increases in length up to 6 meters.
